We are analyzing the existing available data on daily deaths caused by the SARS-CoV2 virus and use that in conjunction with certain simple models to predict the evolution of the disease in certain geographical areas. You can read the full introduction here.
Today’s topic is the lockdown effectiveness. Analysis is based on data from COVID-19 State and Local Policy Dashboard.
We are looking at the correlation coefficient between the severity of the lockdown score by state and the number of confirmed deaths (percent of population) for the past week.
Correlation coefficient is 0.062.
